My name is Dylan Orosz and I am a freelance writer using language to intrigue, inspire, and invigorate.
I am from Texas, educated at Texas A&M University with an undergraduate degree in Accounting and a Master’s in Finance. I am also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). A former professional services knowledge worker in audit and mergers & acquisitions carrying a long-time love of art, stories, and writing, I altered the course of my life to align my passions with my career: I decided to be a writer.
Through copious reading, diligent learning, and an impassioned interest in written expression and storytelling, I have trained myself in the art of writing. As a freelance writer, blogger, and copywriter, I aim to be of service. I partner with businesses, entrepreneurs, and any individual seeking out their dreams in this world to enhance their chosen enterprise with the right words. Through all my work, I endeavor to enlighten & exchange.

My experience.
My writing experience includes creating short fiction, researching and writing articles on philosophy and music, expressing via essays on film, TV, literature, anime, video games, and David Bowie, including some poetry, and many other writings on various ideas, topics, and personal musings. My growing copywriting portfolio here on this site includes my past client work alongside creative speculative campaigns meant to showcase my knowledge of the concepts and art of copywriting. In all, I love to tell stories, I love to illustrate ideas with words, and I love doing both poetically. Simply, I love to write.
My interests, skills, and expertise.
My expertise, skills, and interests include philosophy, psychology, spirituality, sociology, history, politics, finance, comedy, cinema and the ability to research and express ideas to the desired ends of my writing. I write everything from a philosophical perspective, trying to adapt complexity into clarity. Sometimes I work my words concisely, from a three-act structure. Other times I operate in deeper dives that border on stream of consciousness. I am flexible in my style and can adapt to almost every format or purpose writing can achieve. This includes copywriting, which I have now added to my repertoire through vigorous self-education and portfolio ideation. In all, my interests include anything and everything (such as you!), my skills are ever-expanding, and my expertise comes primarily as a compassionate student of life.
As a mind growing up alongside the Internet and steeped for long in the online world - for better or worse - I house an in-depth, unconscious knowledge of modern cyberculture, its events, trends, and … memes. That is, in scientific terms - the ideas, behaviors, and styles that spread and carry cultural meaning.
I am a voracious reader of fiction and non-fiction, literature and theory, comics and manga. Ultimately, I appreciate both the beauty and the terror of life. Stories are like breath to me. I understand that great transformations must be borne from conflict. I am passionate about all knowledge and seek to perceive the world around me through my writing; in that endeavor, my experiences of art, media and memes are invaluable. Through the sharing of my knowledge, I aim to understand the world around us, and when I can - change it.
Altogether, the purpose of all my writings is to persuade my audience that what they are reading is important.
Memes, like stories, are seeds. They must be understood to be cultivated, and they must be cultivated if they are to grow into trees. / Through storytelling, I try to spread good memes, and study bad ones. Because I think it is supremely important what we pass on to the future.
